The 10 Commandments are found in the Bible's Old Testament at Exodus, Chapter 20.

They were given directly by God to the people of Israel at Mount Sinai after He had delivered them from slavery in Egypt:

And God spoke all these words, saying: I am the LORD your God

ONE: You shall have no other gods before Me.'

TWO: You shall not make for yourself a carved image--any likeness of anything tha...t is in heaven above, or that is in the earth beneath, or that is in the water under the earth.

THREE: You shall not take the name of the LORD your God in vain.

FOUR: Remember the Sabbath day, to keep it holy.

FIVE: Honor your father and your mother.

SIX: You shall not murder.

SEVEN: You shall not commit adultery.

EIGHT: You shall not steal.

NINE: You shall not bear false witness against your neighbor.

TEN: You shall not covet your neighbor's house; you shall not covet your neighbor's wife, nor his male servant, nor his female servant, nor his ox, nor his donkey, nor anything that is your neighbor's.

What Will It Take!

What is it going to take for the world to come to the realization that there is an Almighty God.!

(Saying you do not believe in God has never & will never change the fact that God does indeed exist.)

What is it going to take for the world to come to the realization that Jesus Christ did indeed die on the cross for the sins of the whole world, was indeed buried & did indeed rise from the dead lik...e He said He would!

(Saying you do not believe this really did take place has never & will never change the fact that it really did happen.)

What is it going to take for the world to believe that Heaven & Hell are both Real. They really do exist. We really will spend eternity in one of the two!

(Saying you do not believe in either place has never & will never change the fact that they both do indeed exist.)

What is it going to take for people to come to the realization that No Denomination, No Religion, No Good Act, No amount of Money, No amount of going to Church, will get anyone into Heaven!

God Is Real. Heaven Is Real. Hell Is Real.

Jesus Christ Did Die. Jesus Christ Did Rise from the Dead.

There Is only One Way to Heaven.

No matter who you are, what you have, what you do, or who you know. No matter what Denomination you claim to be. No matter where you go the Church. No matter what Religion you say you are.

The Way To Heaven is Jesus Christ. Period. No Other Name, No Other Way. Period. Believe...Repent...Invite...

Believe Jesus did what He says He did.
Repent of the sins you have done.
Invite Jesus into your heart.

Not with lip service. Do this from the heart.

You will be Born Again from Above by the Holy Spirit of God.
You will become a child of God.
God will see the blood of Jesus applied unto your life.
Heaven will then be your home after this life on earth is through.

The Salvation of the Lord really is that simple.

Saying one thing - Doing another!

Many times I hear Christians say the following.

I want to walk closer to the Lord.
I want to be stronger in the Lord.
I want to learn more about the Lord.
I want to grow in God's word.
I want to understand God's word more than I do.
I want to learn more about God's word.

However, if this is indeed true, why do we fail to come to Bible Study so we can do these things?

Why do we fail to come to or support Sunday School?

Why do most only attend a Sunday Morning Church Service?

Do we really want to know more about our Lord?
Do we really want to walk closer to our Lord?
Do we really want to know more about and grow in His word?

Are the above statements simply us talking a good talk?

No one has anything to prove to myself or unto anyone else. However, let us not speak things to simply be speaking them. After all, God hears every word and knows every heart.

I've often wondered what a congregation would say if the Pastor attended Church Services in the same manner they did.

This is in no way geared toward any specific church as this takes place in all churches today. Our God Has Not Changed. We Have.

One of the most loosely used words in modern English is the term Christian.

It has been applied to almost everyone from the faithful member of the church, to the non-religious moral man, who holds as his greatest attributes that he provides for his family & doesn't mistreat his wife.

In this present generation multiplied thousands who consider themselves Christians, have no idea what the Bible actually teaches on this vital subject.

Merely believing in Christ does not make one a child of God, but rather gives us power to become sons of God. Afterall, the devils believe also, & trembles.

Jesus said, not everyone who saith to me Lord Lord, shall enter into the kingdom of Heaven, but he that doeth the will of my Father which is in Heaven. Matt. 7:21

Many wicked rulers also believed on Him (Jesus) but did not confess Him, because they loved the praise of men more than the praise of God. John 12:42-43

The term Christian is used in the Bible to refer to active, obedient followers of Jesus Christ. Not to describe anyone that calls themselves a Christian.

Jesus said if you love me, keep my commandments. Christians show their faith in God by the works they do. Not by words coming from their mouth.

THE SILENT SERMON

A member of a certain church, who previously had been attending services regularly, stopped going. After a few weeks, the pastor decided to visit him.

It was a chilly evening. The pastor found the man at home alone, sitting before a blazing fire. Guessing the reason for his pastor's visit, the man welcomed him, led him to a comfortable chair near the fireplace and waited.

The pastor made himself at home but said nothing. In the grave silence, he contemplated the dance of the flames around the burning logs.

After some minutes, the pastor took the fire tongs, carefully picked up a brightly burning ember and placed it to one side of the hearth all alone then he sat back in his chair, still silent.

The host watched all this in quiet contemplation. As the one lone ember's flame flickered and diminished, there was a momentary glow and then its fire was no more. Soon it was cold and dead.

Not a word had been spoken since the initial greeting. The pastor glanced at his watch and realized it was time to leave. He slowly stood up, picked up the cold, dead ember and placed it back in the middle of the fire.

Immediately it began to glow, once more with the light and warmth of the burning coals around it. As the pastor reached the door to leave, his host said with a tear running down his cheek,

Thank you so much for your visit and especially for the fiery sermon. I will be back in church next Sunday.

A Thought

Life is full of choices. Can we know with certainty what God wants us to do?

Perhaps we do not fully understand how God guides us day by day.

The Bible shows us that as we do what God has clearly told us to do, He will, in His own time and way, make sure that we do not miss what He has planned for us.

Our job is to trust Him, submit, pray, and walk in obedience.

Sounds easy enough doesn't it?

Are you looking to yourself & your own thoughts for answers?

If so, try looking to God. After all, He is God.

God's Word vs. Man's Tradition

Greetings in the name of Jesus Christ

I'd like to talk a little about God's Word and man's tradition. I will make it simple so a child can understand.

Let's begin with the old testament. Before Jesus came to earth & died on the cross for the sins of the world, God's people went to the High Priest which God had put in place for His people to come to & offer up their sacrifices for sin.

The people would bring their sacrifices for their sin to the High Priest under God's instructions. The High Priest would then offer up to God the peoples sacrifices as well as a sacrifice for himself. The High Priest was the only one allowed by God to enter into the Holiest of Hollies.

Anyone else whom entered into this place was stricken dead plain & simple. What did the Holiest of Hollies represent anyway? Simple. The Tabernacle entrance had a large veil covering it. We know it as the Sanctuary. Beyond the Sanctuary was another veil. Behind this veil was a mercy seat. This represented the throne & dwelling place of God.

No man other than the High Priest was ever allowed to enter there. This was called the Holiest of Hollies because it represented the dwelling place of God Almighty. When Jesus died on the cross, we read the veil of the temple was ripped apart.

Matt.27: 51. And, behold, the veil of the temple was rent in twain from the top to the bottom; and the earth did quake, and the rocks rent.

What does this mean?

It means simply this. The veil ripped in to showing us that Jesus had now made a way for man to come directly to God. What does that mean? It means Jesus did not destroy the law, but He fulfilled the law just as He said. Matt. 5: 17 says - Think not that I am come to destroy the law, or the prophets: I am not come to destroy, but to fulfil.

How did He do this?

Under the law, man had to come to the High Priest. The High Priest was the one whom went to God on our behalf. Nothing of the law changed except man has been completely taken out of the way. The High Priest is still in place, but our High Priest now is Jesus Christ Himself. Man has been removed.

We now can come to God the Father, through His Son, our Savior Jesus Christ. What does this mean to us? Since the veil was torn down at Jesus' death, we now have access to God the Father without going to man. This brings me to this question.

After Jesus did all of the above, why does man continue to go to man & ask to be forgiven? 1st John 2: 1 states the following. - My little children, these things write I unto you, that ye sin not. And if any man sin, we have an advocate with the Father, Jesus Christ the righteous.

Notice, our advocate is Jesus Christ, not man.

Why does man call man his father? Matt.23: 9 says - And call no man your father upon the earth: for one is your Father, which is in heaven. (Jesus Speaking)

So why do people continue to go to man & confess to man their sins? Why does man continue to call a man his Father? The answer is simple really. Tradition, plain & simple. Going to man to confess our sins is a waste of time. Calling man our father & asking him to forgive us of our sins is a waste of time.

What are we doing when we go to man, confess to man, call man our father, or ask man for forgiveness? The Answer! We sin against God by holding to the traditions of man instead of obeying the Lord & His Word.

We go to our true Father which is in Heaven, God. We go to God our Father through & by His Son Our Savior Jesus Christ. How can we be absolutely sure of this? That answer is easy also. John 14: 6 says - Jesus saith unto him, I am the way, the truth, and the life: no man cometh unto the Father, but by me.

Friends, if we want Heaven to be our home, there is only ONE WAY to get there. Through Jesus Christ, the only begotten Son of God. Not Man. Jesus is the one that died for you and I. Man has absolutely nothing whatsoever to do with one making Heaven their home.

God's Word vrs. Man's Tradition, who do you think will win in the end?

Let us let go of man, his ways, his traditions, his opinions, his teachings, his denomination's & his thoughts. Let us cling to God & His Word

Think About This!

Hello friends!

Being a Minister & Pastor I must say I notice a lot of things. For instance, people are always asking me what religion I am. Their reaction will always depend upon the answer I give to them. Again for instance, if I answer the question with the statement Baptist it is accepted without question.

I get the same reaction if I answer with the words Catholic, Lutheran, Pentecostal or any other religion name in which people relate to. However, there is always one answer in which I can answer the same question with & will always get the same response, which by the way, seems to be a total & complete shock to the ones whom have asked me the question in the first place.

That answer, I’m a born again child of God or I’m a born again Christian. This always amazes me. Why you ask? Simply because of this. I find that people all around the world seem to know about every denomination known to man, yet very few seem to know much at all about the Lord. Friends, this is really very sad.

After all, people need to understand that in Heaven, there will be no sections set up for all kinds of different man made denominations. In fact, & this may come as a surprise to many, but the fact is that all who go to Heaven will indeed be a born again child of God. It comes down to this simple fact.

We either know the Lord as our Savior & live for Him, or we don’t know the Lord as our Savior & live for Satan. These are not my words, but the word of God. Denomination teaches us for the most part, all we have to do is go to church now & then, be a good moral person, & believe in God & everything is just fine.

However, God says something altogether different. He says, you believe there’s one God, you do well. Even the devils believe & trembles. Even the devil believes in God. The devil goes to church every time the doors are open. Just look around at all of the division in the word today.

Think of all the churches that have been ripped apart. Think of all the evil going on in churches today. Is this of God? Of course not. Satan indeed goes to church and does every thing he can to tear it down & destroy it & bring division.

Yet the fact remains that there is only one true God. The God whom created the Heaven, the Earth, the Sea & all that there in is. How many people do you know who say I use to go to church until I got hurt so I don’t go anymore? Was it God whom hurt them? Absolutely not. It was man that hurt them.

Yet, people continue to allow what man does or how man acts to come between them & God Almighty. Friends, we will not give an account to man. We will not answer to man. However, we will indeed give an account & answer to God when all is said & done.

Knowing this, let us put away all of man’s ways, all of man’s denominations, all of man’s traditions, & let us once & for all come to understand exactly what true & pure religion is. Not according to man, but according to God Himself.

Pure religion and undefiled before God and the Father is this. To visit the fatherless and the widows in their affliction, and to keep himself un-spotted from the world. James: 1:27. To keep ones self un-spotted from the world means one has to let go of man’s way & man’s teachings & follow the Lord & His teachings instead.

In the end, it won’t matter that man has patted us on the back & said good job. It won’t matter how popular we became with man. What will matter however, is what God has to say about us. After all, we will have no one to stand in our place & give an account of our behalf at that day. I will answer for me. You will answer for you.

We will have no one to blame. We have two choices in life when push comes to shove, regardless if we turn a blind eye to it or not. The two choices are these. We either take God at His word, believe & live for Him, or we reject God, His word, & live for ourselves. It really is that simple.

God has not called simple people such as myself to preach His Holy Word simply to waste time. He has called people to preach for a reason. That the world may know that there is hope beyond this life. That there is a better way. That God loves us & proved it by taking our place in death.

That God has made a way for mankind to come back to Him & have true peace even while living in a world as evil as it is today. That's because He conquered death, hell, the grave, & lives today, you & I are able to have life also. However, one thing God will not do is force or push His way upon mankind.

Mankind, after hearing the truth, which is the Gospel (Good News) of Jesus Christ, has a decision to make. Accept Christ or Reject Christ. Plain & Simple. The Salvation of the Lord is so simple a child can understand it.

To do so however, one must put aside man’s ways, man’s opinions, & man’s teachings, & see what God Almighty has to say. Our ways are not God’s ways. Our thoughts are not God’s thoughts.

For my thoughts are not your thoughts, neither are your ways my ways, saith the Lord. For as the heavens are higher than the earth, so are my ways higher than your ways, and my thoughts than your thoughts. Isaiah: 55: 8-9.

Friends, it's time to get serious about serving the Lord. God is coming back regardless if we are looking for His coming or not. Regardless if we believe it or not.
