Waltham General Baptist Church actually started out as East Side General Baptist Church.
It was started in a home located on Coleen Ave. in Warren MI.
Seven (7) members came together looking for a church name. They
had singing, prayer, & teaching of the Bible. Afterwards, after going through some names, they all agreed on the name East Side.
The actual date Waltham Church got started with the name East Side was on Sunday October
11th, 1942, at 2:30 pm in the afternoon. On Oct. 11 2012, Waltham
General Baptist Church will have been serving the Lord for 70 years.
